Hello Pretty~

In this post I would like to share skincare routine based on years of personal experience and study. In the beginning I am practicing more of a western basic skin care steps Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize plus sunscreen (and treatment according to skin needs such as acne). After sometimes I adapted Korean skincare which are more complex than western skin care. Korean / Asian skincare has become more popular and recognize globally, in fact even the western skincare brands are following the trends - BB cream is just one of the example. To have fun understanding these routine, check out the FAQ below:

Why Korean / Asian skincare?
Because they are more comprehensive and well developed, they deliver better results too.

How many steps in Korean/Asian skincare?
Have you heard of the Korean 10 steps layering skincare routine? Yeah a whopping 10 steps! instead of the usual 3 to 4 basic steps of the western skincare routine, the Korean / Asian skincare routine have additional 6 to 7 steps. On top of that the night routine are even more complex, it’s around 12 steps. The Korean / Asian invest so much on their skin, some of them who diligently taking care of their skin does look way younger than their age.

How to remember all these skincare sequence?
Basic rule of thumb for the Korean / Asian skincare routine apply the thinnest / watery first to the thickest /richest you won’t go wrong – if you don’t remember the whole complicated steps.

How long do I need to stick to those routines / product?
You don’t have to stick to a particular product / routine rigidly. Based on your skin type, needs and season, you can adjust accordingly. As you age and your environment change, your skin also have different needs.

Do I need to use product of the same range or set of brand?
No, you don’t need to use product from the same range or set of brand. I found throughout the years that, one good item from one range don’t equal / deliver the same quality for the other items in the same range. Through test and trial, you can find which product is really suitable for your skin.
